CPUSHACK:The McDonnell Douglas MDC281 was one of the first implementations of the MUIL-STD-750A processor.
It was released in 1984 on a 4 micron rad hard CMOS/SOS process and implemented the 1750A CPU on 3 chips on a 64 pin MCM DIP
The 3 chips were a Control Unit, Execution Unit and Interrupt Unit.
These are radiation hardened by design, topography, and process, and can withstand over 140MeV charges with no upsets.
The MDC was used in the main flight controller of the F-15E Strike Eagle, the HUD and power plat controllers of the C-17 Cargo plane, as well as many sattelites.
